Over the last years, we have been studying the future of drone design through crowd-based storytelling. We developed our own creativity support tool, an online platform DreamDrone.org, where community members can envision and re-imagine how drones look, their capabilities, and scenarios in which they can be used. Our work also includes in person workshops where participants are able to physically design low fidelity prototypes of their Dream Drones and engage in a critical conversation on how they envisioned their creation being used, and for whom. Our next workshop will be part of Canal Convergence, a week long event in Scottsdale Arizona where “Art & Technology” can be experienced. Our workshop will be located in the Nationwide Innovation Zone, and conducted by PhD student, Alejandra Rodriguez Vega on Saturday Nov. 13, 2021.
